The natural world motivates me to paint. Sometimes, I have an idea or vision that I am chasing, or a feeling that I am trying to translate. Other times, I see something in nature that blows my mind, and I try to capture that magic. Some of my paintings are inspired by my daughters and watching them grow and navigate this (beautiful and tragic) world. In those paintings, I am searching for collective experiences within the small chasm of my own world here at home.
I grew up in Brewster on Cape Cod, by the sea. I've spent years in Boston, Peru, and London. I currently live in Hopewell, New Jersey with my family. We spend our summers on Cape Cod, which is where our hearts truly reside.
